Sandra Batton Klopp (Brecksville, OH) graduated from Fenn College and got a job with Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner. She met husband Norm while employed here. Sandy and Norm were married in 1964 and have been married for 45 years. They settled in Brecksville and had two sons. Brian '90 and Kevin '94. "I never thought I would be involved in the BBH School System as much as I was. I was president of Chippewa School's PTA and the PTA Council. I was also the Art Mart's chairperson for four years. Norm served on the BBH Board of Education for twelve years, three as president. We both were honored to receive the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Friend of Education Award."

"Over the years volunteering became the focal point of my life. I also served as president of the Brecksville Women's Club and of the Women's Federation of Greater Cleveland (which was recognized by the Ohio Senate). I also served as chairperson of the Salute to New Citizens of Greater Cleveland in Federal District Chief Judge Lambrose's courtroom and on the WACHEM Board of the Cleveland Health Museum. I also was a Red Cross volunteer at the Brecksville VA Hospital."

"I must say it has been interesting watching Brecksville change and grow. I like the fact Brecksville didn't get too large as a community. Class size has also grown. We knew all our classmates well which is not the case today. I wish my fellow classmates continued good health. I remember all the wonderful times we had while attending BBH schools. I will always remember recess when we could dance in the gym."

Norm remains active in a money management firm. They enjoy their summers on their boat in Marblehead and their winters at their condo in Naples, Florida.
