Biography for Marilyn Peters Robertson as published in the 2009 Pollen Count
Marilyn Peters Robertson (Avon Lake) graduated as an RN from Mt. Sinai School of Nursing and Case Western Reserve University. She then attended Cleveland State University for two years majoring in psychology and speech. Marilyn became a Charge Nurse at Mt. Sinai Hospital, followed by public health nursing with the Visiting Nurses Association in Cleveland's inner city, and a nurse practitioner running an Allergy Office in Fairview Park.
The nursing career was ended early by a severe horse accident and Marilyn served on many state councils and committees as an advocate, including: The Governor's Council of People with Disabilities, Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission Consumer Advocate Council, and Ohio Legal Rights Advisory Council.
"After enjoying sports competition in high school I now enjoy water skiing, black powder shooting. I have worked as a go-go dancer, showed horses and Russian Blue Show Cats and I recently competed in pool shooting in Canton." For the past 20 years Marilyn has run the "Walkin' & Wheelies" recreation group in Lorain, Ohio.
Marilyn has been married and divorced twice. She owns a home in Avon Lake, Ohio and commutes regularly to Brecksville to care for her 94 year old mother who still lives in the family home on Riverview Rd. |
