Biography for William Price (Prihodoff) as published in the 2009 Pollen Count
William Price (Prihodoff) (Garfield Hts., OH) After graduation William took a one year overseas vacation with his father and brother driving around the world starting with Japan, Hong Kong and Vietnam where they drove to Penang, Malaya, shipped their camper to Madras, India and drove to Beirut, Lebanon. They then shipped to Alexandria, Egypt and drove to Cape Town, South Africa. William shipped to Buenos Aires, Argentina and drove to Buenaventura Columbia and shipped to Puerto David, Columbia getting around the Darién gap and driving up to Texas.
William hoboed for a while in the States. When he made it back to Ohio he married JoAnne Capretta. William attended Fenn College at night while he finished a four year union carpenter apprenticeship.
William and JoAnne did volunteer work in Ohio and Kentucky a few years. Afterward they went to Chile as missionaries. They served for five years experiencing communism, a coup and military government. When JoAnne became pregnant with Matthew Alvaro they returned to Ohio where their second son, Michael Gideon soon arrived.
William continued in construction and wrote his first adventure/spy novel, Shadow Travels. His Web site is shadowtravels.com. His second novel, Shadow Confessions will be in print next month. William continues to be a volunteer on international archaeological digs.
William has had some of his art work in local art shows. He presently attends Cleveland State University pursuing his interest in sculpture, writing and archaeology.
William is a beekeeper, wine maker and, from his hops vines, bottles his own honey brown beer. He loves to write, fly fish, travel, cook and read. |
